Making the Switch to Natural Skincare

Ready to make the switch tonatural and organic skin care products? The first step is all you need to get started!  Sometimes change can be overwhelming, especially when you don’t really know what you’re getting yourself into, but there is no need to worry because it’s simple; just remember to pay attention to your body, use common sense and take it one step at a time!

What I've learned throughout the years is that a skin care regime is key. However, you should not be afraid of the change to come. Skin regimes can be affected by factors such as age, health, season, or sometimes it can even be the products you are currently using. But do not be afraid, this is normal and remember: change can be good.

Find thebest natural skin care products for you! What may work for you, may not work for someone else, so experiment, but use common sense. Currently, my favorite face moisturizer is the Radha Beauty Rosehip Oil.  It has a rich amber color that complements my complexion and gives me a healthy tan glow. It contains powerful antioxidants like beta-carotene and lycopene nourish the skin with essential micro-nutrients to protect skin against damaging environmental aggressors. And the best part is, one drop can go a long way!

Natural skin care is not just a product, it’s a lifestyle. So yes, stay conscious of the ingredients that are inside the products you use. READ everything and of course, use common sense! If you know you are allergic to a specific ingredient, hello… DO NOT use that product!

Most natural skin care productsshould contain ingredients that you are familiar with. But remember, everyone's skin reacts differently to different products. Before applying any new products to your face, I suggest you do a patch test first. It’s easy! Just place a small amount on the inside of your elbow and wait 48 to 72 hours. If you notice no redness, swelling, itching or burning on that spot, it is okay for you to use. Remember to listen to your body. Your body has ways of letting you know something isn’t for you.

So, if you’re looking to join the world of natural skin care, we welcome you with open arms! Take the first step, then another, and another; because sometimes slow and steady wins the race.
