Founder Story

My name is Marcia Oh. I am a happy wife and mother of two beautiful girls. I grew up in the Northeast of Brazil before I came to live in the United States. After living here for almost 20 years, I was diagnosed with Discoid Lupus, an autoimmune disease that affects the skin and scalp. Rashes appeared all over my body and I had to take horrible prescription drugs. I was scared and frustrated. After two years of treatment and no results, I knew I had to take matters in my own hands.

After much research, I found myself completely immersed in the herbal plant studies. I learned that most of the everyday products we use on our bodies contain harsh chemicals and synthetic ingredients. I had no idea I was putting so many chemicals in my body. I knew there was no way this could be beneficial to my health. I was determined to find a healthy natural alternative. Our skin is the largest organ of the body and it absorbs 60% of everything applied to it. That means that those products filled with harmful chemicals I had been using on my skin for so many years were absorbed into my body. The thought alone was unbearable. As a result, this new knowledge gave me inspiration to start creating my own personal care products.

I have learned a lot about plants and their healing beneficial properties to the skin and body in general. After much trial and error, I was able to develop products that not only smelled great, but provide good results without the addition of harmful synthetic ingredients. These products along with a healthy diet drastically improved my skin and have made a huge difference in my life. It has been an amazing and pleasurable journey. My hope is that they will do the same for those looking for safe, affordable, and effective botanical personal care products made with honesty and integrity.
