Refreshing DIY Summer Mists

Let’s be honest. Soaking in the sun can take a toll on your skin, leaving your complexion dry and dehydrated rather than looking supple and sun-kissed. Luckily, you can create an easy-to-make hydrating mist right at home with all-natural ingredients. With the help of essential oils, not only will you feel the therapeutic benefits but it will also help you stay cool and calm.

Th
e DIYs below are my quick and easy homemade cooling sprays that feel amazing on the skin. It really is my secret weapon for staying cool outside. Plus, any of the three face mists below can also be used on the body and hair for added hydration.

Rosehip Refreshing Mist

Rose Water and Friends Face Mist

Eucalyptus Hydrating Mist

DIRECTIONS: Pour all ingredients inside of your spray bottle and shake.

Since the mists contain both oil and water, be sure to shake before each use. For storage, we recommend that your homemade face mist is refrigerated. You can store it for up to 2 weeks! Not only is it super good for your skin, but just one spritz will cool you down right away. I keep mine in the refrigerator and spray when I'm ready to leave the house making my face wonderfully cool and moisturized. Every time I feel like I need a refreshing pick-me-up, I spray this mixture on my face and arms. This face mist gives my skin the necessary moisture without leaving my skin very oily.

As with all DIYs and natural products, we recommend doing a patch test. Everyone's skin reacts differently to different products. We suggest doing a patch test first. Before you start to use a new product, place a small amount on the inside of your elbow or wrist and wait 48 to 72 hours. Cease usage if irritation occurs.
