Aromatherapy can continue to be an invigorating and soothing part of your life and throughout your pregnancy. It can even assume greater importance in its ability to address many of the mental and physical stressors common to pregnancy. It can be very hard to decide whether it’s safe to use essential oils in pregnancy because there is a wide variety of opinions on the matter. It is important to discuss usage with a medical professional experienced with essential oils and to be cautious with their use.
Many essential oils that provide benefits to your physical and mental health that can come in handy while you’re bringing your child to term. As with use in non-pregnant individuals, essential oil usage is individualized. We are all different; there is no standard approach to essential oils. It is always important to know how to use the oils safely during pregnancy in accordance with your individual needs and to know which ones are likely to help you. If you have never used essential oils and are pregnant, you should always consult with your healthcare provider prior to use. I advise you to start low and go slow. Start with just a few drops of your safe essential oils and diffuse in a large area.
When used topically while pregnant, we recommend using a 1% dilution of essential oils or less. This means 6 drops essential oil in 30 ml of carrier oil. We solely recommend that our oils be used externally. Research about consumption has not confirmed the safety of consuming any oils. You can apply the oils topically or diffuse them and gain the same therapeutic benefits.
Radha Beauty essential oils that are not recommended for pregnancy include Clary Sage, Cinnamon, Rosemary, Oregano and Clove. Essential oils that contain high levels of phenols, ethers, or aromatic aldehydes should not be taken during pregnancy or while you’re breastfeeding your child.

Rosehip oil is recommended for use with stretch marks due to its ability to reduce their appearance using omega 3s and healthy vitamins. It also helps to even out skin tone, reduce redness, and brighten skin.
