The Benefits of Bentonite Clay

Hey, Lovelies! As you all know, Radha Beauty is an ever-changing company. As we grow, we are constantly changing our products to reflect our customer feedback and to give YOU what you’ve actually been asking for! With that said, I am super excited to announce that we have IMPROVED our Dead Sea Mud Mask to include bentonite clay!

What is bentonite clay?

Bentonite clay has been used for centuries for its nutrients, and to help rid the body of toxins. It is composed of aged volcanic matter; which in return, carries a strong negative charge that bonds to the positive charge found in many toxins, due to environmental aggressors. When it comes in contact with any toxin, or chemicals, the clay will absorb them, creating clearer, younger skin.

What does bentonite clay do?

Bentonite also helps to stimulate cell circulation, reduce wrinkles, uneven skin tone, and patches on the skin. Its anti-bacterial properties help reduce acne, shrink pores, heal scars, and soothe irritation. If you suffer from skin irritations and disorders such as dermatitis, eczema, rosacea, or psoriasis, the bentonite clay healing powers may be the relief you need. Its magical properties can calm irritated skin, heal wounds and cracks, and prevent infections that might flare up.

How do I use a bentonite clay mask?

To use, I first wash my face with our Radha Beauty Vitamin C Cleanser, then I gently massage a thin layer of the mud onto my skin in a downward motion. For sensitive skin, leave the mud on for 7 to 12 minutes allowing the mask to slightly dry. For normal skin, leave the mask on for 20 minutes, or until its completely dry. To properly remove the mask, lay a heated washcloth on your face for a few seconds to soften the mud, then rinse remaining mud off with warm water. I recommend doing this once or twice a week.

When applied to your skin, bentonite clay will produce an “electrical charge”. This is described in our labeling as a heating and cooling sensation. Which means, yes, you will actually feel it working! Bentonite clay and dead sea minerals combined have a high concentration of silica, calcium, magnesium, sodium, Sulphur, bromide, iodine, iron, potassium and zinc. What more can you ask for in a face mask? Not only will toxins be extracted from your skin, dead sea minerals will be easily absorbed creating smoother, softer, younger looking skin.
