What is Activated Charcoal
Activated charcoal has been around for centuries, commonly used in medicine as an antidote for poisonous substances in the body. However, in recent years, many more benefits have been realized, and the human body can now get a lot from using activated charcoal. It is more porous than the regular charcoal, which makes it capable of absorbing up to 100 times its own molecule size.
Activated Charcoal could be your Secret to Healthy and Beautiful Skin
Activated charcoal contributes to healthy and beautiful skin, as it binds to and gets rid of toxins and other impurities on the skin. This helps to unclog pores and reduce excess oils, thereby making your skin glow and devoid of skin problems such as blackheads, acne, and psoriasis.
Its Porous Properties Absorb Toxins to Deeply Cleanse and Purify your Skin
Due to its porous nature, it can absorb toxins and deeply cleanse and purify your skin. After the carbon has been processed into activated charcoal, it turns out to have small, low-volume pores that increase the surface area, making it ready to absorb even more chemical reactions. This makes it work effectively on the skin.
Activated Charcoal Could Become your Skin Saviour
Whether you have normal, oily, sensitive, or combination skin, activated charcoal is for you! A lot of people tend to have issues with getting the perfect skin product, but with activated charcoal, worry no more, as it works perfectly with any skin type. It's time to get your skin glow on.
Activated Charcoal is Very Effective For Skin Related Issues
Skin-related issues such as acne, blackheads, eczema and so on, can be a burden for a lot of people. Activated charcoal can help relieve that burden by helping you deal with these skin-related issues. These issues often stem from accumulated chemicals and dirt on the skin. Activated charcoal binds to these chemicals and toxins and pulls them off your skin, thereby relieving these issues and also preventing them.
Charcoal Benefits for Skin
1. Cleans Pores
When your pores aren't clear, it affects your complexion. What activated charcoal does is to bind to the dirt in your pores and pull them out, thereby making them less visible.
2. Treats Acne
In addition to activated charcoal clearing out pores and making them smaller, it also helps absorb excess oils and balance your skin oils. This will help clear up acne and reduce the risk of later occurrence.
3. Facial Cleanser
You can now replace those facial cleansers with activated charcoal, as it helps cleanse the skin thoroughly. It can be used as a face wash for both men and women. There are many products out there today made with activated charcoal that will work just fine as a facial cleanser for you.
4. Soothes Bites and Cuts
Got any bite or cut that wants to ruin your glow? Activated charcoal has got you covered. Simply mix the activated charcoal powder with water, and then dip a piece of paper towel that has been folded twice into it. Place the soaked paper towel on the affected area and apply a bandage. Leave it for 2-4 hours to dry. You can also use activated charcoal for itchy skin. Simply mix it with salve, to form a paste, and then apply on a piece of clean cloth. Wrap the cloth around the affected area or place it on the area.
5. Hair Savior
You can save your hair with activated charcoal and avoid hair breakage, dandruff, or an oily and itchy scalp. Simply apply the activated charcoal on your scalp before washing with regular shampoo, or you mix it with your shampoo. You can also get shampoo products that readily contain activated charcoal.
Charcoal is natural and, therefore, cannot cause an allergic reaction to the skin under normal circumstances. So, it won't hurt to still give it a try even if you doubt its effects. It is, however, important to be mindful of the processed charcoal products that you buy. These products have been mixed with other ingredients that might not be compatible with your skin. Ensure you read the ingredients used to be sure you aren't allergic to any, and read instructions to be sure it is suitable for your skin type.
