A Guide to Woodsy, Earthy, and Spicy Essential Oils

Rich, warm, earthy essential oils are a personal favorite of mine. They bring a grounding balance to a blend that wraps you up in the aroma. These essential oils are preferred by men, making them perfect candidates for DIY colognes. Usually with a strong, natural scent, earthy essential oils bring us back to our roots in nature, allowing us to recharge and reset our natural balance.

Woodsy essential oils so you can feel like you’re strolling through the woods:

Cedarwood is primarily woodsy.

Cedarwood can improve feelings of anxiety, keep away bugs, and help you to fall asleep.

Frankincense is resin scented and sweetly rich.

Earthy essential oils to reconnect with Mother Earth herself:

Clary sage is a slightly floral and herbal, earthy scent.

Clary sage is useful in reducing feelings of stress and depression. and it has been studied to help with easing the symptoms of menopause and menstruation.

Patchouli is deep, musky, and rich.

Patchouli is a meditative aroma that can help relieve dry skin conditions and relax the body and mind.

Spicy essential oils for warmth and comfort:

Clove is a woody, spicy combination.

Clove oil may be able to help soothe itching skin. It's a warm, spicy scent that's perfect for fall and winter.

Cinnamon is a sweet, spicy fragrance.

Cinnamon oil is popular for improving mood and is known to have antibacterial properties.

Oregano is earthy and slightly bitter.

As a reminder, Radha Beauty oils should not be digested. We suggest using a diffuser for aromatherapy or applying to the skin using a carrier oil.
